At the beginning of the activity, all the students stood in silence and sang the national anthem. Afterwards, Yu Yang, a representative of the 17-level outstanding league members, gave a speech under the group's leadership around inheriting and carrying forward the spirit of the May Fourth Movement in the new era, calling on the students to strive to be new youths in the new era, to establish lofty ideals, to be down-to-earth and forge ahead. Next, under the leadership of classmate Wei Qi, an outstanding member of the 18th grade, all the students sang the group song together and reviewed the oath of joining the group.
At the National Education Conference, General Secretary Xi proposed to promote the spirit of work among students, educate and guide students to uphold and respect work, and understand the most glorious, noble, greatest, and most beautiful truth of work, and emphasized the importance of labor education. importance. In the early stage, the 17th-level students have carried out labor practice activities in the experimental field, and carried out the initial planting of common crops such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and cucumbers.
The first step is to prepare the ground. Before planting, the students turned the soil over to make it soft. This process is divided into three stages: coarse plowing, fine plowing, and flattening. Then, according to the needs of different crops, ridges are excavated so that the water can penetrate into the soil relatively evenly and slowly during later irrigation.
Afterwards, the students covered with plastic film. Plastic film is used to cover the ground surface to effectively reduce the evaporation of soil moisture after irrigation in hot weather, and promote the absorption and growth of crops.
Then came the planting process. The students planted seeds or seedlings according to the appropriate planting distance of different crops, and then irrigated them after covering them with thin soil to complete the initial planting process.
For the experimental field, the students adopted the group responsibility system, which enhanced the students' team spirit and sense of labor responsibility by clarifying the areas in charge of each group and the corresponding crops.
After a period of care and management, some of the seedlings have grown much taller. In this group day, the students carefully consulted experienced seniors and learned about crop management methods such as erecting and pinching. Promote photosynthesis of plants by scaffolding, make full use of space, and reduce the harm of pests and diseases; by pinching the tip and fork to coordinate the contradiction between vegetative growth and reproductive growth, reduce the unnecessary consumption of nutrients, so as to increase yield and quality.
After the careful care and management of the students, the melons, fruits, and vegetables planted gradually grow up. I believe that the students can finally enjoy the joy of harvest.
Through labor practice, the students deepened the learning and understanding of common crop planting methods and cultivation process, improved professional skills, enhanced professional quality, and deeply realized that work creates a better life.
