In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on the strategy of rural revitalization, the practice group of the School of Agricultural Science and Engineering went to Liaoning, Tianjin, Shanxi, Hunan, Sichuan and other places from August 1 to 7. The "offline visit and consultation" dual-line combination model carried out research and practical activities on agricultural water conservancy issues, and summarized the accumulated experience and problems faced in agricultural water conservancy construction during the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.


In order to understand the issues related to agricultural water conservancy in the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy from multiple perspectives, the practice team visited Liaoning, Tianjin, Shanxi, Hunan, Sichuan and other places, interviewed villagers, village officials, professional technical personnel and management personnel of the Rural Agriculture Bureau. Field inspection of local agricultural water conservancy facilities. Investigation and research have found that the development of the north and south is different due to various factors such as water resources and climate. Among them, the agricultural water conservancy facilities in Hunan and Sichuan are relatively complete. Taking irrigation channels in Huitong County, Hunan Province as an example, rice fields can be irrigated over a large area through channels, reducing the investment of manpower and financial resources for paddy field irrigation; during the rainfall process, the channels also have drainage functions, reducing the occurrence of waterlogging and realizing water Efficient use of resources, but due to the mountain coverage rate of Huitong County is as high as 80%, and the utilization of farmland has the typical characteristics of "multiple points and wide areas", it is facing the dilemma of complicated construction projects of agricultural water conservancy facilities and large initial investment. In the northern region, water resources are relatively scarce, and the degree of development varies greatly among different regions. For example, some villages in Tianjin uniformly pump out the river water, and then the farmers use submersible pumps to pump it into the fields; Jinzhong area in Shanxi Province and Kangping area in Liaoning Province are greatly affected by the terrain, and the soil conditions in low terrain are better, and agricultural water conservancy facilities are developed. Easier, but overall the level of agricultural water conservancy mechanization is low. How to effectively solve the contradiction between agricultural water supply and water use is one of the important directions for future research of agricultural and water major students.


Seek demonstrations, seek true knowledge

In order to better understand the impact of the improvement of agricultural water conservancy facilities on agricultural development, the practice team visited Baoxia Village, Yushe County, Shanxi Province, a demonstration site for agricultural transformation, and interviewed Comrade Zhang Liping, deputy secretary of Baoxia Village and an outstanding Communist Party member. Through interviews, the practice team learned that Baoxia Village has received strong support from the state, and the level of local agricultural mechanization has generally improved, involving mechanical seeding, mechanical harvesting, and mechanical watering, which has greatly increased the local agricultural output/input ratio , The living standards of the villagers have been comprehensively improved. In the next step, Baoxia Village will work hard to increase investment and construction in agricultural water-saving irrigation projects, reduce the impact of climate or topography in agricultural development in the village, accelerate the transformation, and accelerate the development of local agricultural economy.


Organize data, summarize and analyze

During the six-day practice activities, the practice team conducted in-depth investigations of agricultural water conservancy construction through field visits, questionnaire surveys, and personnel interviews, and analyzed the relationship between agricultural water conservancy construction and agricultural development. After paper questionnaires, survey forms, and interview records According to the analysis and analysis of the table and the online questionnaire, the practice team learned that the development of agricultural water conservancy in various regions is uneven and affected by the uneven distribution of water resources in time and space. The agricultural water conservancy facilities in the south and coastal areas are relatively complete, with pumps, water pipes, and channels. As well as reservoirs, the agricultural development is relatively good; the development of agricultural water conservancy facilities in the northern inland areas is relatively slow, and some areas still use natural rainfall as the main source of agricultural water, and agricultural development is relatively backward.


The investigation and practice team went to the front line, conducted in-depth investigations on the situation of agricultural water conservancy construction, understood the relationship between agricultural water conservancy construction and agricultural development, and deeply understood the importance of the rural revitalization strategy for the farmers to increase production and income, and get rid of poverty. As for the responsibilities and missions shouldered by agricultural and water people, everyone said that they should study professional knowledge well, use the skills learned to help the construction of agricultural water conservancy, and contribute youth to the development of the countryside.
