Ningxia Water Conservancy Expo is adjacent to the Yellow River in the west, Guqin Canal in the east, and Qingtongxia Water Control Project in the south. The construction area is 4,086 square meters, and the exhibition area is 2,850 square meters. The pavilion has a solemn appearance, advanced facilities, complete functions and novel display. It truly reflects the close relationship between the development of Ningxia’s economic and social development and the history of water conservancy development. Development depends on the Yellow River to prosper.
Qingtongxia Dam is the only pier type hydropower station in my country. It is one of the key projects of New China's "First Five-Year Plan". It is a comprehensive water conservancy project that focuses on irrigation and power generation, and takes into account multiple benefits such as flood control and snow prevention. Construction started on August 26, 1958, with a total length of 693.75 meters and a maximum dam height of 42.7 meters.
